Our positive experiences begin with possibility thinking, not probability thinking.
Probability is the measure of how many chances could an event occur. The higher the probability, the more certain we feel it will happen again. This later becomes a presumption. Possibilities, on the other hand is the key of vision. The vision of positive alternatives with a great potential of opportunities. Both words are similar but with a different mentality. If we were all about the possibilities, we would all have a winner mentality with a leadership vision.
By having a leadership mentality, and using our possibility vision, we would be able to innovate and create new strategies that would help us accomplish our daily goals. This will motivate our mind to think about positive outcomes and train ourselves to be less afraid of doing something new, putting our values into action and having a strong desire to achieve something great.
If we start by thinking positive and believing in different possibilities, our communication will be more approachable, and we will be considered unique and authentic; great advantages to differentiate yourself.
To set our minds to possibility thinking, we need to treat our mind and life. First, we need to give voice to our dreams, then motion to our goals and lastly, shape to our life. While we work on this process, self -talk is essential because it’s a way of giving shape to what we imagine for the future. This could be done – writing, said out-loud, within us. It will make us feel strong and empowered about taking decisions.
How could there be a future if we don’t rehearse our ideals to give life a different perspective. The more positive you feel about yourself, the more positive you will feel about the future you envision, the better able you’ll be to communicate positively with others.
When we share our enthusiasm, excitement or commitment, we start developing contagious habits for others to try and we will have higher level of positive reactions such as:
Job satisfaction
Motivation
Commitment
Loyalty
Organizational productivity
